| Tadashi Endo working together with Doris Doerrie |

The outstanding production of the opera ADMETO from Georg Friedrich Händel, directed by Doris Dörrie, choreographed by Tadashi Endo, conducted by Nicolas McGegan, with the Festival Orchestra Göttingen, with those wonderful singers like Marie Arnet (Alceste), Tim Mead (Admeto), Kirsten Blaise (Antigona), Andrew Radley (Orindo), David Bates (Trasimede), Willliam Berger (Ercole), and Wolf Matthias Friedrich (Meraspe), with the MAMU DANCE THEATRE (Benjamin Barrett, David Liu, Yael Karavan, Megan Nicely, Pauline Reibell, Daniela Günther, Natsuko Kono, Midoh Ohmura, Miguel Caminero Bueno, Yumino Seki) and Tadashi Endo as solo dancer, was a tremendous success. All six performances in Göttingen were completely sold out and nearly after each performance the audience was so fascinated and applauded with standing ovations. In August the opera was performed at the International Festival Edinburgh at the festival theatre with nearly 2000 seats. All three performances were also sold out and the audience really liked it because the applause was quite long, which is very unusual for the Scottish audience. Doris Dörrie was right to combine the barock music with butoh dance and especially this opera ADMETO was very suitable to be transferred into Japanese style and asthetic. The costumes and stage were designed by Bernd Lepel with his assistant Iris Jedamski and Marianna Simoneit, the lightdesigner was Linus Fellbom. Bernd Lepel succeeded to create a wonderful stage so minimalistic and the costumes were unbelievable in their colours and so beautiful design and fabrique. We have to thank Doris and all these wonderful people who made this project such a wonderful and unique experience.
